Iron Dome inventor and YABA graduate Colonel Natan Barak (Res) talks about the origins and almost unimaginable capabilities of the Iron Dome missile defense system with AFYBA board president Alan Wildes.
During the most recent conflict in Israel, the Iron Dome successfully destroyed countless simultaneous inbound missiles aimed at population centers all over Israel. It was nothing short of amazing. As you will hear from Commander Barak creating the Iron Dome system was a “true partnership between Emuna (belief in G-d) and technology”.
Colonel Barak shared his personal insight on how a Bnei Akiva education prepares students for all aspects of life which is why it was so important for him to send his own children to Bnei Akiva schools. He explained that “learning Gemara taught him how to think and question which provided the foundation for him as an entrepreneur”. In addition, Colonel Barak expressed how important Bnei Akiva institutions and students are to the State of Israel, “They serve as a unifying force in Israel by acting as a bridge between the non-orthodox and the ultra orthodox communities.”
